Student Membership Requirements

NATA requires student members to provide proof of full-time enrollment annually. An undergraduate is required to be enrolled for 12 credit hours, while a graduate/certified student is required to be enrolled for 9 credit hours. If you will be a full-time student for the current semester, please provide proof of your enrollment by submitting one of the acceptable verifications.

Current Enrollment Verification Certificate

This must show you are enrolled full time for the current semester. Some schools use studentclearinghouse.com to electronically send the EVC which is acceptable. Check with your university to see if they participate in this.

Letter from the registrar's office of your program director

The letter must include your full name and state that you are a full time student for the current semester. This letter must be on the institution's letterhead, signed by the registrar or program director, and be dated within 30 days.

Official Transcript

This must show you are enrolled as a full time student for the current semester with a minimum of 9 credit hours as a graduate student. If you are not enrolled in the minimum credit hours then you will need to get a letter from the registrar's office.

Examples of unacceptable proof would be a letter from the registrar or program director that does not state the requirements as mentioned above, an unofficial transcript, a class schedule, a receipt, or any other documentation that is not one of the acceptable proofs mentioned above.
