Career Exploration & CPA

Accountants collect, maintain, and analyze financial records for organizations and compile reports for the use of managers, investors, creditors, regulators, and tax authorities. The 120 credit Accountancy major prepares students for many accounting-related jobs, and some roles require a Master’s Degree or 150 credit Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. CPA’s must pass a national exam and meet additional requirements.

You may contact Professor Zelijko Sockovic of the Stan Ross Department of Accountancy for additional guidance on completing the CPA requirements.
